Dr. Madow employs the psychopharmacological approach to the treatment of psychiatric disorders. He assesses each patient's needs and prescribes the appropriate medication or combination of medications and follows up with each patient on a regular basis. Dr. Madow believes the two-pronged approach of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy is appropriate for many patients and will make a referral to a psychotherapist when indicated. He also believes in working closely with a patient's primary-care physician and other relevant medical professionals.

Dr. Madow graduated from Princeton University with a degree in biochemistry. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He did his internship at the University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center. He did his residency in psychiatry at Massachusetts Mental Health Center, a teaching facility of the Harvard Medical School. He taught at Harvard Medical School for fifteen years. He has been in private practice for almost thirty years. He is the author of numerous professional articles.
