Welcome Back, to our Guatemala Mission Team!
Two mission teams comprised of 45 members (26 of which were from Carson City FUMC) traveled to Guatemala from July 29th through August 8th. The medical team provided medical services through temporary clinics in rural communities, including La Union, that have little if any access to medical attention. The construction team, including a significant youth component, worked with the people in the village of La Union to replace the roof on the school and tor provide training and water filters to families in hipes of alleviating illnesses associated with drinking untreated water.
