Dr. Daniel Muff began practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Reno in 2001 after completing residency training and serving at a part-time clinical faculty at the University of California at San Francisco. He began his professional training in 1990 at the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry. In 1994, he began his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery and in 1995 attended medical school at the University of California at Davis. Following medical school, Dr. Muff completed a year of general surgery residency and then finished his training with two additional years of oral and maxillofacial surgery including a 3-month exchange program in Manchester, England, where he received additional training in maxillofacial and head and neck reconstructive surgery. Dr. Muff is licensed in both Nevada and California to practice medicine and dentistry and is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Muff and his wife Janet have three children and enjoy being part of the Northern Nevada community. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental and Medical Associations, the Northern Nevada Dental Society, the Northern Nevada Medical Society, and various dental and medical continuing education organizations.
