Richard learned much from his parents, both educators and counselors of the underprivileged youth in Austin, Texas. Watching them as a force that helped people overcome insurmountable odds to achieve goals they thought unattainable made a lasting impression. As a lawyer focusing on personal injury and criminal law, Richard has often encountered clients who feel helpless and hopeless with nowhere to turn. Just as his parents did with the children of Austin, Richard assists his clients to achieve the best results possible. Directly out of law school, Richard gained invaluable experience upon accepting an opportunity to work in the prosecutor’s office in Tyler, Texas, as a Smith County District Attorney.
